Privacy Policy

Your school, college, coaching centre or training institute is the data controller for its students' and staff's data. Muinin HQ LLP, the operator of GradeExam, acts as a data processor and handles that data only to provide the service to your institution. This policy is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.

• School and staff account details: name and email address.
• Student records the institution enters: name, roll number and class or section.
• Scanned answer sheet images.
• Extracted answer text, marks and grading reasoning.
• Payment records: amounts, references and status. We never store card or bank details; Razorpay handles those.
• Basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

Answer sheets belong to students, who may be minors. The institution confirms at signup that it has the necessary consent to process students' answer sheets. We process this data only to provide grading to that institution, and for no other purpose.

Only to provide the service: grading, reports and analytics back to your institution. We do not sell data, and we do not use student data for advertising.

To run GradeExam we use a small number of service providers:

• Cloud infrastructure providers: database, file storage, authentication and hosting.
• An AI processing service: reading and grading of answer sheet content.
• Razorpay: payment processing.
• An email delivery service: transactional emails such as sign-in and invite emails.

Each provider receives only what it needs to perform its function. Student data is never shared with other institutions, and never sold or shared with any third party for their own purposes.

Scanned sheet images are deleted after grading and a short review window. Marks and extracted text are retained for the institution's records. An institution may request deletion of its data at any time by contacting us.

Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted by institution and by staff permission, enforced at the database level with row-level access control.

You may request access, correction or deletion of personal data, and raise a grievance. Contact our Grievance Officer at hello@gradeexam.com or write to the registered office below. We respond within 7 business days.

We use only what is needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising trackers.
